Describing The Nexus of Distance Running and The Law.

Without question, today was hard.

Two days ago I did an over-distance ride for my upcoming Tri.

I felt strong then. Yesterday I did a 6 mile recovery run, followed by an 800m swim, all seemingly strong.

And then I went out today to go for my long run, aiming for 16 miles.

I ran with two of my marathon buddies, and it was 98 degrees. No kidding. And we were running on trails. Hot, dusty, and downright hard. We persevered. But by no means was it easy. We got back to the car, and my buddies decided to drive back. I went out for another 45 minutes, then came home, an utter mess of dust, dirt, pine needles, and the like.

I hope that when Philadelphia comes, this workout will have served me well.
